Shock Announce Massive Partnership & an Experimental Patch - This Week in Overwatch 2/11/22
SF Shock Partner with Korean Contenders Champs 02 Blast
The San Francisco Shock have once again shown their eye for top Contenders’ talent. Earlier this week, the two-time Overwatch League Champions posted a tweet, indicating they had established an official partnership with O2 Blast.
O2 Blast has been an absolute titan in the Korean Contenders scene — responsible for sending legions of players to the Overwatch League, and as 3-time Overwatch Contenders Korea Champions. With this partnership, it is sure to strengthen the player pipeline from O2 Blast directly to the Shock, an incredible resource of talent to have at their disposal.
Following the success of NRG in 2019, with the Shock now bringing on O2 Blast, the Shock continue their trend of establishing a foundation of top-tier talent to continue to roll in over the years.
A win for Contenders is a win for all!

Experimental Patch Brings About Nostalgic Change
This month’s experimental patch brought about a host of changes, some of which are blasts from the game’s storied patch. Most notably, Symmetra has been switched back to the support role and Mercy’s ultimate has been reverted to the multi-person rez from days of old.
Other changes included massive mobility buffs for most heroes, including Orisa, nearly unlimited flight for D. Va and a total rework to Roadhog’s kit. Full experimental patch notes can be seen here.
