Overwatch League Check In: Post-Kickoff Clash Update

After a first stage filled with ups and downs let’s look at where things stand. While we qualified for a trip to Dallas, we were unable to make a run, ultimately bowing out in 7/8. Still, Assassin made his debut on the stage and the team used the trip as a great opportunity to help together! That makes 7 Justice players to see time this season, with only Vigilante, who turns 18 on July 1, as the last player left.

Our tournament began with a bang as we jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the undefeated SF Shock, but ended in despair as well to the reverse sweep. The Mayhem then knocked us out 3-1 in the lower bracket. Still, the league point we picked up, equivalent to another win and awarded for qualifying, could prove to be invaluable down the stretch of the season.

The Los Angeles Gladiators took home the tournament, defeating the Reign and not dropping a match during the entire event. Their balanced DPS group of Patiphan, Kevster, and Ans along with strong rank and support play proved to be too much for the rest of the Overwatch League to handle.

Although we didn’t win the tournament, we do all get to enjoy this video from the trip forever, which is a win in my eyes.
