Washington, DC’s Overwatch League Adds Two to Coaching Staff
SEPTEMBER 20, 2018 –- Washington, DC's Overwatch League team has made two official additions to its coaching staff, adding international experience to the team with the hiring of assistant coach Kyoung Ey Molly "AVALLA" Kim from Meta Bellum and analyst Mikael "mkL" Skjønhaug from Last Night's Leftovers.
Molly "AVALLA" Kim's Overwatch career began in the grassroots where she served as head coach of Frescia Gaming, starting from Open Division and finishing in the top 16 in season one and qualifying for Contenders Trials Korea season two. Since then, AVALLA has worked as an assistant coach with OpTic Academy and Meta Bellum in their North American and Korean Contenders playoffs run. In addition, she's a high-level Overwatch player, peaking at 78th rank on the Korean Overwatch ladder.
Mikael "mkL" Skjønhaug worked alongside AVALLA at OpTic Academy and was also analyst for Last Night's Leftovers in their playoff run. Prior to that, he had a career stretching back to the original Overwatch beta as a player and coach for European teams.
