It's in the Cards

We decided to play a game. Uno! You’ve probably played it as well. It’s a simple game with quick rules, but those are often the games get the most reaction.

This of course makes for a great live stream!

We placed the live stream set up in the middle of the table and rotated it for each turn. Sitting around a table creates some challenges for filming and photography. You’re always going to be standing next to or behind someone, so not everyone can be in the shots. But you just accept you can’t capture all the reactions and try to cover the table as evenly as you can.

The “Attack” version of Uno offers some hilarious game play. It shoots an unknown number of cards at you when you press the button. Or it doesn’t. You don’t know. It’s up to the machine. So of course this is good for reaction shots! Jjanu had a great run of luck where the machine did not launch any cards at him for several rotations. Then his luck ran out! The whole table lit up with shouts.

It’s great to get the team away from the computers every so often. Game play and competition are important, yes, but giving that a different focus is a welcome change of pace. You get to see the way the players react. Aimgod is boisterous, r0ar is focused and deliberate.

We hope you’ve been tuning in to our Instagram Live sessions. We’ll be putting together some videos from these as well! Stay tuned!

And let’s go play some Overwatch!
